James Bond: Quantum of Solace - new Wii screens

Well here are some more Wii screens of Quantum of Solace.....what happened to the other game we were shown before that looked like complete crap? Don't get me wrong, these screens don't look the best but they are much much better than what was passed off as Wii screens before. Could EA have shown the PS2 version of the game and mistakenly said they were from the Wii version? It's looking that way.

Sega press release for The Conduit

SEGA gets zapped by HIGH VOLTAGE with the conduit

SEGA to Publish Highly Anticipated Wii Title in Spring 2009

SAN FRANCISCO & LONDON (October 29, 2008) – SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® of Europe Ltd. today announced a worldwide partnership with High Voltage Software to publish and distribute the Wii™ home video game system-exclusive title, The Conduit. The first-person shooter garnered multiple awards at E3 2008, including Best Wii Game by GameTrailers and three awards from IGN: Best Shooting Game (Wii), Best Graphics Technology (Wii) and Best Overall Wii Game. The Conduit is a stunning, futuristic title powered by a new game engine technology that delivers remarkable visuals and effects, as well as a rich interactive experience that is unlike any other title on the Wii.

“The Conduit is one of the most talked-about Wii games this year and High Voltage Software has only scratched the surface of the game in terms of what they have shown so far,” says Simon Jeffery, President of SEGA of America, Inc. “They have proven that graphical and technological innovation can be exciting to the Wii market, and SEGA is thrilled to partner with a team that truly shares our belief in the Wii’s gaming potential beyond the casual market.”

“High Voltage Software's partnership with SEGA to publish The Conduit represents an important milestone for this studio,” said Kerry Ganofsky, CEO and founder of High Voltage Software, Inc. “SEGA shares our vision for the title and its tremendous potential, which is why we chose them from a long list of potential partners. With their support, we are confident that The Conduit will deliver the definitive shooter experience that Wii fans have been waiting for.”

The Conduit takes players into a dark story in Washington D.C. after a vicious alien invasion has rocked the country. An organization called the Trust has sent in Secret Service agent, Mr. Ford, to go up against the insect-like alien race known as “The Drudge.” Armed with an array of futuristic weaponry and an intelligence-gathering device simply called the “All-Seeing Eye,” players follow an intricate storyline filled with conspiracy, shady government activity and terrifying aliens.

The Conduit’s detailed control system allows players to customize and configure look sensitivity, turning speed, the dead zone and much more. As players delve further into the mystery behind the extraterrestrial invasion, shocking details reveal that the invasion may have been brought on with help from the government itself.

Powered by High Voltage Software’s groundbreaking Quantum 3 engine, The Conduit ensures that players will experience single and multiplayer gameplay with graphical fidelity never seen before on the Wii. The Conduit will also support the recently announced Wii Speak peripheral, allowing online multiplayer gamers the ability to chat as they destroy aliens in each terrifying level. Additionally, the game will take advantage of the Wii MotionPlus for optimal control. The Conduit, exclusively for the Wii, is slated to ship in spring 2009. For more information on the game, please visit http://www.conduitgame.com/. For screenshots and art, please visit the SEGA FTP site at http://segapr.segaamerica.com/.

For me I'm excited for this news. Sega always markets their games really well so the advertising for The Conduit should be very good, and seeing that this is one of the most anticipated Wii games yet (and Sega knows that) it should get all the PR and adverts possible.

*Rumor* Sega is the publisher of The Conduit

Link

If you read the above link you will see that the guys at NeoGaf seem to have stumbled upon something over at the Sega website that puts them in direct connection with The Conduit. The link to the page that Gaf provided has since been deleted by Sega.....so what connection between Sega and The Conduit have if it's not for publishing?

Thoughts? Concerns? Bitter regrets?

Resident Evil 4 Wii edition - change costumes in mercs mode

I actually didn't know this! Some of you may, but for those that didn't its a nice addition for sure.

Disaster: Day of Crisis - gameplay videos (spoilers)

This is the first 15 minutes or so of the game. It is definitely catching my interest. The real-time graphics being used in the cut-scenes look very good.

Oneechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers - interview

This is an interview video you may have missed on the Bikini Zombie Slayers. The game still looks fun and hopefully they fixed some of the bugs from the Japanese version.

Tomb Raider Underworld - Wii screens

These are the first screens released of the Wii version of Tomb Raider Underworld; we've seen the 360 version plenty by now so this was long awaited for fans of the series. The Wii version is actually based on the 360 version with some scaled down special effects and of course resolution. You can see the similarities of the Wii version to the 360 version when you compare the geometry and level design; the backgrounds look almost exactly the same from what I've seen. Thank goodness that this game is being handled with more care than a certain James Bond game starting with a "Q"......

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - new screens

For a game that is supposedly "not coming" to the United States, it's sure is getting a lot of attention from everywhere outside Japan...probably because it looks really good. Just change some characters and call it Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and bring it over here Capcom. Please?

Sonic Unleashed Wii trailer

So will this game be good or another weak attempt at making a 3D Sonic game? Some of the ground textures in the Wii version leave a lot be desired I know that much.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes - new footage

This game is looking better and better the more I see it. What game does this remind you of? Tag battles & super attacks? Looks a lot like Marvel vs. Capcom to me. Lets hope that the rumor that Capcom could turn this game into Marvel vs. Capcom 3 comes true; since we know that the "Tatsunoko" characters couldn't really make it into a United States release.

Sonic & The Black Knight - new screens

You never really know these days if a 3D Sonic game will actually be good when you play it, but at least these screens look pretty good. Hopefully soon we'll see more enemies that Sonic will face other than the Knight.

World of Goo - gameplay video

I strongly suggest downloading World of Goo right now to all of you who haven't. I'm having a blast playing this! A very original concept in my opinion.

Monster Hunter 3 - on stage demo videos

These videos show how to control Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii, and how the gameplay works. It's nice that Capcom included Classic controller support incase some have problems with the Wii controls. Looks fantastic as always.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle info

- First time Grasshopper is doing a sequel
- Wanted to make another game with Travis
- This time Travis is fighting for revenge
- He’s going to get really serious about fighting as opposed to the first title
- The team that worked on No More Heroes 1 is also working on the second game (same character designer, mecha designer)
- When they made No More Heroes 1, they felt they had one of the best teams for a Wii title so they wanted to make another game with the team.

link

I just want to say "thank you" to everyone that bought the first game or we would never be getting this sequel.

Sonic & the Black Knight - debut trailer

For me personally, I think this game looks more promising than Sonic Unleashed and it's a Wii exclusive which is always nice. Some people question the use of a sword in a Sonic game, but since most of his games over the past ten years have sucked why not use it?

Monster Hunter 3 - more gameplay videos

Looking fun, I wish I was in Japan right now...

Arc Rise Fantasia - debut trailer & gameplay video

This game isn't as "awe-inspiring" as Monster Hunter 3 but it definitely looks good and exciting. Most likely next year is the time we'll see this game come to the states.

Monster Hunter 3 - trailer and gameplay videos

This game is truly breathtaking, if you've watched the videos at full size you'll know what I mean. A true showpiece for the Wii's power.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade - debut trailer

Such an amazing looking game, with animation to die for....do want!

No More Heroes 2 TGS debut trailer!!!

Coming straight out of nowhere, Suda 51 debuts No More Hereos 2: Desperate Stuggle for the Wii. Set to be released in January 2010 (only a year and 3 months don't cry). No doubt the desperate stuggle has to do with Travis Touchdown trying to hold on to his number 1 ranking. Excited?!?!

Muramasa: The Demon Blade - new screens

Now this is a game that looks like effort is being put into it. The more I see the more I want to play it. Remember that it is coming to the United States.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom trailer

After watching this trailer (dispite the low quality) I'm convinced that Capcom should have no problem putting Street Fighter IV on the Wii. The reason why I say this is because Tatsunoko vs. Capcom doesn't have a great chance of coming to America since almost no one in America knows what Tatsunoko is! That is such a shame too since this game looks totally freak'n awesome. Hey maybe Capcom will bring this game to the states after all? You never know....or maybe they should bring this game AND Street Fighter IV to the Wii? Now that sounds like a plan to me.

Quantom of Solace - Wii Dog Shit screens

One of our readers "TanookiTravis" questioned why we haven't seen any screens from the Wii version of Quantom of Solace......can you see the reason now? To say this game looks like an abomination is an understatement. Nintendo 64 textures and what? A blue tarp for water? Call of Duty 4 engine my ass. Someone must have just slipped up at EA by mentioning that the Wii version would run that engine. If it is running it, then they might as well just not even try running it. In fact if they aren't going to even try to make this game look decent, why not just cancel the game? Don't waste our time with these games like look worse than Playstation 2, it's not 2006 anymore and you can't just get away with using "unique Wii controls" as an excuse anymore. A developer needs to put a full effort into their games on Wii: control, gameplay, graphics and sound all need to have a strong effort or no one but a small portion of people will buy it. I know I will not be buying it.

Believe me this not about having HD graphics. What its about is lack of effort on Wii development. The Wii simply can do much better than this.

Arc Rise Fantasia - new screens

In Japan it looks like the Wii is picking up steam with RPG's. It seems like almost each month in Japan a new RPG is being announced. Now all we need is to get those games localized and bring them over to the US so we can share in the fun. Arc Rise Fantasia is an exclusive RPG for the Wii (like Tales of Symphonia and Monster Hunter 3) due out in Japan towards the Holiday season. You know that I'm really excited about this game so how about you guys? Are you really hoping this game comes over to the states?

The Conduit - more videos

These are random videos from Gametrailers of the first level in The Conduit. The more the better I say...

Muramasa: The Demon Blade - new screens

More side scrolling action on the Wii that looks good. Ware Land Shake It was really fun and this game is looking cool too with the animation style they are using. Muramasa is also already confirmed for coming to the United States as well; so that's even more good news.

Monster Hunter 3 - new screens

New Monster Hunter 3 screens for you to enjoy. Any fans of Phantasy Star Online here? This game seems to work very similar but as you can see looks very different. With unique Wii controls and 4 player online (like Phantasy Star) Monster Hunter 3 might be one of those games that you can play for years and years, upgrading and upgrading your characters. Do want!!!

The Conduit: video blowout - new level shown

These videos show the first level of the game apparently, and it's looking mighty good. Depth of field/motion blur and the advanced lighting effects and particles seem to be strongly showcasing High Voltage's Quantum 3 Engine and is much improved over the E3 build we saw a few months ago. It's really looking like it has all the bells and whistles of any Xbox 360/PS3 game, no joke.

Looks like today is the day that we've been waiting for, with more announced games from Nintendo. I've really been looking forward to a new Punch Out game for a long time, nice to see that it looks awesome too!

-Don't forget to check out the Monster Hunter 3 trailer a couple posts down, you definitely don't want to miss it.

Sin and Punishment 2 announced for Wii - first screens

Excited for this game? The first game wasn't played by many people, but it was really fun. Looks awesome. I'm sure we'll have more info on this game very very soon.

Monster Hunter 3 for Wii looks amazing......this video will not be taken down by the way (like Youtube) so enjoy.

Mega Man 9 Gametrailers review

I think this is a great game and a lot of fun (it's fun getting your ass kicked), how many of you have actually beaten MM9 yet? lol...
