2009 - year of the Wii

So did the end of 2008 get you down on the Wii? Well thank goodness their is always next year huh? 2009 is just around the corner and it is truly looking like the year to be a Wii owner (if you're not already).

The guys at NeoGAF have complied a list of anticipated games that are going to be released at some point next year. For the complete list of the games and a ton of screens for each go here: NeoGAF

Tiger Woods 2010 (Wii Motion Plus)

Capcom VS Tatsunoko has not been confirmed or denied as to being released next year in the United States, so if it does get released it will be next year. That is a pretty good list I must say and of course there will be even more games that will be coming out next year that haven't even been announced yet by Nintendo and other Third Parties as well.

Have a great Holiday weekend everyone and I'll see you all back here next Monday!

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - Japan TV spot

Japanese TV, you gotta love it.... Hopefully this game will sell in Japan.

Castlevania Judgement - all about the boobs?

I have yet to play this game but according to IGN (they gave it a 7.5, surprisingly higher than I thought it would get) the game is pretty good. Did the games suggestive themes have anything to do with the higher than expected score? It would in my book - lol.

Tomb Raider Underworld - Lara Croft interview

Get in touch with the new Lara Croft. When are we going to see more in-depth coverage of the Wii version of this game? I think I've only seen those 4 screens that were released last month.

Arc Rise Fantasia - new screens

I'm still excited for this game, and after seeing that Tales of Symphonia is actually a good RPG (despite was some reviews have said) I'm really interested in playing another Wii RPG soon.

Sonic Unleashed - another Wii trailer

So is this a racing game with platforming parts or a platforming game with racing parts?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time - Wifi trailer

Nice to see how this game will work between the DS and Wii, now how about some Crystal Bearers footage SquareEnix???

Call of Duty: World at War - gameplay video

This game looks awesome, very awesome. World War II or no World War II, I think this is going to be a good choice to purchase. See you online!

Fragile: Farwell Ruins of the Moon - CG Anime screens

Fragile definitely has as very nice art style to it, and the actual gameplay from what I've heard is very addictive as well. A North American release is sure to come sooner or later. Keep your eyes on this one if you haven't already.

Call of Duty: World at War - 10 minutes of Wii footage

(this is a long video so please be patient)

This game is looking really impressive, it's not to often (or ever) that you see this kind of detail, lighting and particle effects in a Wii game. The guys who made Quantum of Solace obviously didn't try to implement the Call of Duty 4 engine very well and now with COD it is more obvious.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - more gameplay footage

How could you NOT want this game guys? Amazing looking gameplay and great graphics....guess I'll have to play the Japan version unless Capcom releases this in the States or changes some things and gives it a different name. Regardless I think I'll be finding some way to play this. You?

Sonic Unleashed gameplay video

Doesn't look that bad, the game is moving so fast that it may be masking a lot of bad textures that you can't see. It does look rather entertaining though.

Quantum of Solace's terrible frame rate

How could a developer ever let a game like this be released to the public??? The Wii is the leading SKU in all of video gaming and this is what gets released? A shame.

Monster Lab trailer

Looks like a good rent if you ask me. I haven't followed much on Monster Lab but I thought before that it was strictly a 3D fighter and now I'm seeing that it's much more. I think we need more Wii games that focus on getting 1 gameplay style correct instead of 4 or 5 different styles of gameplay that only work "ok" or not really at all.

Monster Hunter 3 - new screens

I'm sure you're with me in anticipation of this game. It will be easy to see countless hours spent playing this online and with friends.
